BridgeWater has three separate communities throughout southern Minnesota. BridgeWater at Owatonna is a 50 unit Assisted & Indepenet Living Community, BridgeWater at Janesville is a 24 unit Assisted Living with Dementia Care Community, and BridgeWater at Mankato is a 24 Unit Assisted Living Community.

The Director of Nursing acts as a supervisor to the Clinical Nurse Supervisor's within the three communities and is responsible for assisting with assessments, move-in's, new staff training, and other related duties.

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Coaches, directs and monitors the quality of care and quality of life of the Elder's living in the BridgeWater homes.
• Acts as a supervisor to the Clinical Nurse Supervisor's within the three communities and serves as their main point of contact for any questions.
• Update policies and procedures.
• Conduct new staff training.
• Clinical Audits throughout the communities.
• Provide direct elder cares & services and pass medications, as needed.
• Assist with assessments, service plan, move-in admission, as needed.
• On call.
• Minimal travel between our communities is required.

Qualifications

• Valid RN License is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Human resources experience preferred, but not required.
• Past Supervisory experience, a must.
• Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Demonstrates effective time management skills and ability to multi task.
• Must be able to relate professionally with elders, staff and family members, display a positive work attitude and be able to work as a team with other staff members.
• Previous experience working in senior care, preferred.
• Enjoy working with the older population, a must.
