Responsibilities:
Full Time RN: $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented RN
Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 7-20 - for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses. This is a full time position that rotates every other weekend.

The RN Key Responsibilities include:
Administers medications as ordered; instructs residents in use of medication.
Monitor staff & residents throughout shift
Ensure the safety of residents by ensuring that precautions are being followed as written by physician
Ensure that daily schedule is being followed as outlined
Attend unit shift report
Communicate any changes to the daily schedule to the DON immediately

Qualifications:
The minimum position requirements are:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current license and registration by the South Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong Assessment & precise documentation skills required.
  • Must possess knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors and BLS.
  • One year prior child/adolescent psychiatric experience is strongly preferred.
