Easterseals UCP, is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Risk Manager to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary Virginia Reach team designed to provide crisis interventions and support to children and adults.

What You’ll Do

As the Risk Manager (RM), you will provide regular, on-site consultation and safety inspections to all Virginia programs on a quarterly basis. The RM provides training, guidance and support for compliance, licensure, and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for the creation, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement efforts consistent with agency-wide quality management (QM) policies and procedures. This person is also the driving force behind growth initiatives in Virginia including review of licensure, regulatory requirements, and the development of policies and procedures to support them.

How You’ll Benefit

You’ll earn a competitive salary between $75,000 and 85,000 based on your experience. This position offers a flexible, remote (80%) schedule with quarterly travel to Woodbridge and Culpeper (20%) in Virginia. We also offer benefits to those regularly working 30 hours or more per week.

What We’re Looking For

To join our team as the Risk Manager you must have working knowledge of root-cause analysis, QM and Risk assessment, and have a passion for staying current with changes to Virginia regulations and policies in mental health facilities. We also require:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human service field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in human service delivery or equivalent experience in regulatory affairs and/or quality management
  • Regulatory experience in mental health or developmental disabilities in Virginia
  • Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
