We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented libations-enthusiast to join our team at the San Rafael location of Blackwell's Wines & Spirits (www.blackwellswines.com). We are a boutique bottle shop, with two locations and a well-established presence of 19+ years.

Our philosophy is simple - impeccable customer service and amazing product selection. The ideal candidate will possess polished customer services skills and basic office computer aptitude, as well as a genuine passion for the libations industry.

Working as part of the tight knit San Rafael team, you will also coordinate remotely with our San Francisco team. Monthly all-location team meetings, periodic get togethers during the year, and various competitions throughout the year add extra fun to the job!

Responsibilities:

-Assist customers visiting our store location

-Assist with online and phone order fulfillment: assemble orders/pack boxes/customer follow up via phone & email

-Stock and manage inventory on retail floor and storage area

-Maintain presentation of the store

-Assist with merchandising displays

-Assist with vendor tastings and product selections: opportunity to try a myriad of wines & spirits

-Accurately accept incoming deliveries

-Communicate clearly with the team all pertinent information related to daily operations.

Qualifications:

-Professional customer service demeanor: polished people and communication skills.

-Attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

-Ability to multitask and stay on point when jumping between job functions.

-Basic knowledge of the wine/spirits/beer industry - and enthusiasm to geek out and learn more

-Ability to lift 40-50lbs, and stay on feet for 7-8 hours per day.

-Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

-Strong work ethic and motivation.

This position provides the opportunity to grow more involved in various aspects of the business: marketing, online sales, product research, etc.
