Job Purpose: Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for flawless execution of large-scale merchandising implementations across stores and provides ongoing feedback to the marketing department to ensure strategies align with execution feasibility. This role will also take on category management responsibilities as assigned. Overall accountability and support for marketing, merchandizing, planning as it relates to all marketing, PDI, support of information management systems, price book and category management. Position must work seamlessly with all departments and external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities will include participation in community events, corporate events, and key marketing initiatives. Promote and abide by the high standards of GEI, and maintain regulatory and company compliances while upholding the highest standards of safety.

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement visual merchandise standards, policies, and procedures of all assigned stores.
  • Implement floor set package designs that complement new merchandising strategies.
  • Assist in managing and execution of product roll-outs, price changes and ensure that all sales opportunities maximized.
  • Maintains a catalog of up to date planograms for all sets, with Category Manager assistance as needed.
  • Maintains a record of store layouts and marketing equipment, as well as multiple warehouse inventory of marketing equipment
  • Ensure that all vendors are aware of and comply with the Graham Enterprise Inc.’s vendor policy
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with associates and all levels of management.
  • Communicate trends and product knowledge to all assigned stores in a bid to keep them updated with the market.
  • Act as the first point of contact for information, materials, and samples for all cross-functional teams.
  • Initiate requests and provide follow up on packaging, signage, and collateral associated with each item.
  • Respond to requests and resolve store and customer service issues by following company protocol.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors and suppliers to speed up and streamline procurement processes.
  • Perform any other duties that are assigned by management.

Skills/Qualifications:

1-3 years of retail merchandising experience strongly preferred.

1 – 3 years Convenience store experience preferred

Attention to detail with a relentless desire to ensure accuracy

Time management including multitasking, productivity, and a sense of urgency with limited on-site supervision

Ability to take initiatives and strategy execution. Have strong passion for customer service while utilizing exceptional people skills and have a desire to excel in everything you do.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Execution-focused and detail-oriented with great organizational & problem solving skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Maintain a disciplined and integrated approach to increase profitability and improving the speed of inventory

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; This specific position does require the ability to handle/move heavy objects up to 50lbs, such as moving display cases within a store environment.

Must have flexibility, all days of the week and ability to travel as per the needs of the business.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
