Retail & Fleet Title Clerk

We are a large multi-franchise group of dealerships with multiple locations throughout the southeast seeking a Retail & Fleet Title Clerk at our Orlando Florida location. This position would be in charge of day-to-day operations at the store and report to the Office Manager.

Job Description:
The Retail & Fleet Title Clerk would be responsible for the processing and maintenance of vehicle titles, processing title (and tag) applications on retail & fleet units sold - both new and used/in and out of state; and working with customers to resolve title related problems. You will also process all courtesy deliveries and assist our sister stores with any of their Florida title work. In addition, you will be responsible for the posting of the daily DealerDMV manifest and weekly Tag Agency invoice, along with cutting necessary refund checks back to customers. You must reconcile and maintain accounting schedules weekly and submit to manager. You will also be required to file all of your completed work and deals. You will be in charge of all tag/registration inventory issued to the dealership and disperse all metal and temporary tags to finance managers along with blank registration decals. A yearly inventory will be done with tag office on all blank tags. This candidate must be very detail oriented, dependable and be self-motivated. Dealership accounting background would be desired, but not required. Knowledge of Excel is helpful. We have a very cohesive office and look forward to adding to our great team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process tag and title applications for fleet deals. Verify vehicle identification number, odometer, statements, signatures, and required certifications and attachments.
  • Submit weekly tag schedule.
  • Process courtesy deliveries.
  • Send in sister store FL tag work//collect payment and receipt to clear A/R accounts
  • Tag Issue to Finance//Inventory
  • Post all invoices and cut refund checks.
  • Twice weekly compliance with salesman.
  • File all completed work.
  • Keep the Leadership Team informed on the trends and employee issues that may affect a GM audit.
  • Reviewing schedules and ledgers and working with the staff to clear up any discrepancies.
  • Respond to request for information and assistance in a timely manner.
  • Manage and safeguard the stores liabilities and ensure that internal controls are in place.

Requirements:

  • Previous dealership experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to balance large volume accounts.
  • Detail oriented skills with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Fast learner that is open to change and able to handle demanding environment
  • Ability to stay confident in high stress/high activity times.
  • Strong communication and people skills – both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license.
