JOB SUMMARY:

This is a year-round, live-on camp position. This role spends time working in our Retail and Accommodations departments. Support the camp experience for guests through providing excellent customer service through preparation and sales of food and beverage as well as merchandise. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of coffee shop, food venues, and retail shops. Complete Housekeeping duties including cleaning cabins, meeting spaces, restrooms and other areas as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The ideal candidate for this position can be described as follows:


  • Provide a high level of customer service to all guests
  • Cashier: Operate the Point-of-Sale system
  • Demonstrate customer service: Smile and say “Hello”, Talk to customers, Ask open-ended questions, Recommend multiple products, Smile and Say “Thank you”
  • Maintain a current Food Handlers Card from San Bernardino County (Forest Home will provide all training and pay all fees)
  • Services and cleans all assigned guest rooms, meeting rooms, restrooms, buildings, offices and other areas in accordance to cleaning standards.
  • Perform all job duties with excellence
  • Supports and participate in staff spiritual life activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Guest Service experience is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. Requires mild physical work; some lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 20 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
