Legal Media Group, a division of Delinian (formerly Euromoney PLC) is hiring a Research Analyst
We are looking for someone who will perform research and interviews for the legal and professional services markets in their assigned jurisdictions and practice areas. They will analyse law firm submissions and interview leading practitioners, including corporate clients, in order to compile rankings, awards, and editorial content.

2. KEY OBJECTIVES
  • Interviewing leading legal practitioners and their clients
    • Analysing research submissions and market feedback
    • Compiling firm and practitioner rankings, analysis and data for the research projects
  • Sourcing and writing relevant news and developments
    • Representing the brand at events and in meetings

3. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE (essential and desirable)
  • High level research and writing skills
  • Ability to keep to work independently, keep deadlines, and multi-task
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn about specialized legal sectors
  • Strong organization, note-taking skills, and telephone manner
  • Strong written and spoken English

Relevant professional experience includes, but is not limited to:
  • Journalism & communications
  • B2B publishing
  • Research & market intelligence
  • Legal support & services


5. EXPERIENCE (essential and desirable)
  • Some experience handling large volumes of data and other confidential material
  • Some experience of phone or face to face interviewing in a journalistic or research capacity
  • Some knowledge of the legal or business environment
  • Some experience of writing brief and concise editorial copy

  • Daily – Brand Editor
  • Regularly – Legal practitioners – IP and tax professionals
  • Weekly – Americas Head of Research
  • Ad hoc (internal) – Global head of research; commercial, marketing, awards teams
  • Ad hoc (external) - Business development, communications contacts at law firms

The annual salary range for this position is $45K - $47K USD. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill levels. Our total compensation packages may also include competitive annual bonuses, commissions, or quarterly MBOs, dependent on the role. These will be discussed with you during the interview process. The salary range represents Delinian’s good faith belief of the current market-value for the role at the time of this posting and is provided in support of New York’s Salary Transparency initiative.
