Boeing Global Services and the Government Training Engineering (GTE) Team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including a Mid-level and Experienced-Level Release Train Engineers to join the F/A-18 Agile Release Train (ART) Team in Hazelwood, Mo.

The F/A-18 Program is challenging, complex and fast-paced. This individual will be responsible for facilitating execution, driving continuous development, managing risk, escalating impediments and acting as a coordinator and coach as a member of the Agile Release Train (ART). The primary charter of this role will be to lead the engineering ART in the delivery of value aligned with the needs identified by program management. The selected candidate will report directly to the GTE Office of the Chief Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Organize, facilitate, and lead ART Program Increment Planning.
  • Host and maintain agenda for ART sync meetings to expose and track resolution of barriers to plan completion.
  • Maintain Jira dashboards and report out on standard metrics.
  • Track features and capabilities to completion.
  • Facilitate team relationship building.
  • Facilitate team demonstrations.
  • Ensure team work plans are aligned considering capacity and dependencies across teams within the ART and outside the ART.
  • Collaborate with Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) to align training and coaching.
  • Utilize and enhance agile tool usage across the organization.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product feature roadmap development and maintenance.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Hybrid:

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Hazelwood, Mo). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors or higher in an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading teams or projects formally or informally.
  • Experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Experience interfacing with all engineering disciplines and be able to work in a team environment and work independently as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Agile development experience, especially Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar methodologies.
  • Certifications in agile roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, etc.).
  • Experience using Jira and/or related toolsets.
  • Experience with DoD contracts, estimating, and proposals.
  • 3+ years’ Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced-Level Summary pay range: $113,050 - $152,950
