We are looking for a Paralegal who possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with our field-based personnel and clients. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the legal team and will interact with senior managers, vendors, outside law firms and other contacts internal and external to the Company. This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Counsel. This role will be hybrid, two days in our Corporate Office in Waltham and three days working remotely.

Job Description:


Regulatory:

  • Manage preparation and timely submission of regulatory filings including new license filings, renewals, and any follow up with state agencies and CMS (Medicare).
  • Circulate reports on license renewal deadlines and share with legal team members and field.
  • Follow up with field on any certification fees or post license renewal submission obligations.
  • Post all licenses on intranet and provide updates for field members.
  • Quarterly status update reports on license submissions.
  • Assist with regulatory due diligence, as needed.

Litigation Support:

  • Perform administrative duties and support in maintaining/updating claim files.
  • Work with attorneys and outside counsel to assist with document production and other discovery matters for lawsuits and subpoenas.
  • Monitor communications with corporate registered agent and update filings.

Contract Administration and Residency Agreements:

  • Provide assistance to attorneys with preparation of basic contracts between various company entities and third parties.
  • Maintenance of template Residency Agreements and other related documents.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a law office or Corporate setting.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (health care a plus, but not a prerequisite).
  • Paralegal certificate a plus but not required.
  • Ability to take ownership of license renewals by planning and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • General administrative duties will also be required.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, good judgment and solid organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels of the organization with professionalism.
