Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our post-operative surgical unit. In this role you will provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from an elective surgery related to a total joint replacement or repair, or from a spine surgical procedure. • As a registered nurse you will deliver patient-centered post-operative nursing care for total knee, hip, shoulder and other surgical procedures, and participate in patient and family education.
• Along with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and patient care support staff, you will create and implement a care plan to meet each patient’s needs.
• You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• As a part of the clinical team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
• 1 year of medical surgical experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
