QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a current Missouri RN license.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required.

Functions:

  • Assist the Director of Health Services in providing administrative medical support oversight to each individual served in a manner that is consistent with high standards of health care.
  • Ensure staff are adequately trained and supported to carry out their health care responsibilities.
  • Ensure all Willows Way clients receive training and guidance to accommodate their personal medical needs.

CORE RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Make recommendations regarding client safety and hygiene to the Director of Health Services and client support team.
  • Maintain nursing files and schedules for their assigned caseload.
  • Assist the Director of Health Services with gathering medical information from program staff and clients for the health assessment of clients.
  • Assess the physical and psychological dimensions of the clients on their caseload on at least a monthly basis.
  • Review the client Physicians Order(s) and Medicine Administration Records, transcribe, and implement physician and nursing orders accurately as received.
  • Follow up with the client’s program service manager and Director of Health Services to support implementation.
  • Prepare and submit RN Monthly Summary reports to the Director of Health Services and client team including client status, plan of care, any special occurrences and/or significant information as contained in the RN Monthly Summary form.
  • Provide for confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to clients and families as per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Identify staff training needs for assigned clients and facilitate training as directed by the Director of Health Services.
  • Assist with the maintenance of complete and accurate client health records.
