As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible to provide exceptional patient care to our patients. You should be able to travel to our Hauppauge and Riverhead office.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist physicians with procedures, BP, Glucometer provide exceptional patient care to our patients.You should be able to travel to our Great Neck, Westbury and Rockville Centre offices.

• Drawing up drugs for Endophthalmitis – Prepare antibiotics for intravitreal injection
• Complete lab requisitions; call lab for specimen pick up if needed; Follow up on all labs.
• Maintain, verify and log all inventory of all drugs
• Call patients after 1st time injections
• Prepare retrobulbar and subconj anesthesia
• Checking expiration dates & stock levels of all drugs
• Performing FA/ICG injections and monitor signs/symptoms of adverse reactions
• Triage nursing calls through the on call system and messages from staff
• Completing Disability forms/DMV forms/all excuse letters-school/work/gym.
• Complete referral forms for patients (Forsee/Helen Keller/Lighthouse).

Monitor Emergency Kit, Spill kit & Endophthalmitis kit inventories and expiration dates

• Monitor refrigerator temperatures; document them in the log book
• Coordinating appointments and necessary paperwork for in office treatments

E-prescribing all medications

• Counsel pre-op patients regarding procedure and medications
• Write out the pre-op drop instructions
• Review medical history and medications with the patients

On the job training will be provided

REQUIRED:

Varied Shifts Monday- Saturday - Saturday will be a required day.

Must have NYS License- RN
