Office (remote) Starting point Pedricktown, NJ 08067 (preferred up to a 50 mile radius)

Operational Responsibilities

· Serve as main point of contact for drivers and help facilitate resolutions

· Communicate with customers to provide updates and resolve issues

· Oversee trucking operations and client relationships for Northeastern fleet

· Coordinate new business development through inside / outside sales

· Periodically meet with regional customers to ensure needs are fulfilled

· Tour loading / unloading facilities as necessary

· Maintain service schedule on all equipment per company guidelines, including trucks, trailers, and maintenance

· Manage driver load count expectations to prepare for customer demand

· Deliver parts and supplies as needed to drivers and customer sites

· Analyze monthly terminal profit and loss stats

· Ensure revenue vs pay is in line with company goals

· Coordinate with other regions to support broader company objectives

· Serve as back-up support for NE dispatcher to ensure business continuity

Employee Relation Responsibilities

· Partner with HR / Benefits to assist with employee questions and inquiries

· Determine staffing needs, work with recruiting team to interview and secure viable applicants

· Verify payroll accuracy for hourly drivers, verify driver pay inaccuracies with payroll / billing

· Carry out safety, performance, operational reviews

· Manage paid time off (PTO) for company drivers and support staff

· Track and acquire parking locations as necessary

Safety Responsibilities

· Oversee employee training schedules and overall readiness of drivers

· Conduct random spot checks to ensure safety protocols and standards are followed

· Carry out safety, performance, operational reviews

· Update drivers and staff with new technologies and regulations

· Coach drivers on telematics data, People Net and LYTX Telematics (Dashcam)

· Respond to accidents / incidents within region, and outside as needed

· Work with EMS to provide direct contact support for emergencies

· Maintain assigned company vehicle

Qualifications

· Strong communication and negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of the trucking industry

· Experience in supply chain and fulfillment, liquid propane gas (LPG), and liquid asphalt experience preferred

· Understanding of the following: drug and alcohol compliance, driver qualifications, hours of service, employee and vehicle safety and health standards

· Familiarity with or ability to learn ELD (electronic logging device) and dispatch software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
