Job Summary::


The Regional Director of Youth Services is responsible for directing and ensuring high quality of youth care worker services provided to all Unaccompanied Minor’s Shelter Program shelter residents. The Regional Director of Youth Services analyzes the effectiveness of programming, ensures all performance improvement standards are monitored and feedback given to appropriate staff. All duties are performed based on education, training and experience within the human service field.

Essential Functions::
  • Conduct supervision of all shelter youth care worker departments to include assessment, development and implementation of policy and procedures in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized youth care worker services approach across all shelters.
  • Develop and conduct training of youth care workers as needed; identify and make recommendations for e-learning and other training requirements.
  • Collaborate with the executive management team to ensure compliance with regulations in policy development/implementation, as well as on-going program refinement based upon advances in the field.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations related to case management programming, and deliver to appropriate audiences as needed.
  • Research, and or develop and implement scheduling software to reduce and or illuminate overtime in the youth care worker department across all UM programs.
Other Functions::
  • Collaborate with youth care worker management team members to develop on and off site and security plans.
  • Coordinate services by providing oversight, supervision, and training of youth care worker client monitoring and client supervision, monitoring client services documentation, and developing and maintaining ongoing partnerships with community-based providers.
  • Collaborate with youth care worker team members and clients to develop client activities.
  • Participate in and comply with all meetings, assignments, process improvement, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must be available to travel to other cities, states, SWK sites, and community sites as needed in order to support necessary program operations and as needed for required training and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements::
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology or in other relevant behavioral science field.
  • Three (3) years of relevant Southwest Key Programs experience; two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of 86 hours of pre-service training and job shadowing.
  • Compliance with annual requirement of 50 training hours as mandated by Southwest Key Programs, Office of Refugee Resettlement, and state licensing standards.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required by contractual agreement.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services.
  • Cleared Tuberculosis test results.
  • Cleared background check from appropriate entity.
  • Cleared drug test results. (this one is for Texas programs only)
Physical Demands::

Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs required to complete daily tasks. Job requires extended periods of sitting; use of various office equipment.

Work Environment::

This is a twenty four hour residential facility at which minors receive multiple services. Three shifts per twenty four hour period. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. Predominantly indoors, occasional outdoor monitoring or activities.
