Duties

  • Serves as a campground host/caretaker of an Outdoor Recreation Campground.
  • Ensures patrons are authorized users of the facility.
  • Maintains assigned area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Performs routine security checks to insure buildings, gates and equipment are properly locked or secured during evening hours.

  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must complete a CPR/First Aid Certification Course within 6 months of employment.
  • Must be able to live onsite at an Outdoor Recreation Campground.
  • Must be able to work predominantly outside in a variety of terrain and in hot, cold, wet, dry windy and dusty conditions.
  • Must be able to work a regular or rotating schedule that may include evening or nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to operate and use the various safety and other electronic and automated equipment involved in providing for the well=being of guests as well as the protection and safety of these guests, other employees and government property.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Driver's license if position requires operation of government vehicle within 3 months of employment.
  • Successfully complete all required background checks to include a health screening.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with ARs 215-3, 2-15j., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
  • Must be able to live onsite at an Outdoor Recreation Campground.

Qualifications

1. Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits, particularly camping and recreational vehicles.
2. Must possess customer service work experience.
3. Must possess a valid driver's license if incumbent to drive a vehicle.
