We are a 99-bed skilled nursing and post-acute care facility in Placerville CA. We provide compassionate and personalized skilled care. We specialize in providing rehabilitation services onsite to help our residents regain their independence. Our team of professionals understands the importance of creating a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere, whether residents stay for short-term treatment or long-term care.

Western Slope Health Center is looking for a dedicated, personable, and competent Receptionist to join our team.

Mon through Fri 8:30a-5p

Receptionist Purpose: To reflect our facility’s high standards of care, professionalism and compassion to our stakeholders, residents, and guests.

Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Patient Transport
  • Setting/scheduling appointments for a variety of internal departments
  • Greets visitors, prospective candidates and other visitors of the agency using established process and procedures
  • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, website and other related information
  • Maintains and manages calendars for conference rooms
  • Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating

Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior front desk, administrative, and office experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid computer skills
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
  • Skilled nursing facility experience is a plus

Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)

  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Continuous bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination.
  • Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

Environmental conditions: Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
