Medical City Arlington is a 432-bed full-service hospital located in the heart of the growing South Arlington area. The Radiology Representative works in conjunction with the Imaging Operations Assistant, Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to staff and customers. Supports the mission and vision of the Medical Center of Arlington. Greets and responds to radiology customer needs in a timely and effective manner. Answers incoming phone calls. Processes radiology requisitions and associated documents and associated images following appropriate policies and procedures. Files images and documents as needed and maintains the image library in an orderly manner.

The Radiology Representative is responsible for having knowledge of the hospital Meditech system. Getting and responding to customer needs in a timely manner. Respond to all incoming telephone calls in a positive and courteous manner and process them according to departmental protocol. Process requisitions and associated paperwork accurately and forward them to the respective modality. Refile incoming check-out images and maintain the image library in an orderly fashion. Assist all physicians and staff with locating films and reports. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Fax outpatient reports to referring physicians as well as chart inpatient reports.

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
  • Two (2) years working in an image department is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology as well as typing 40 words per minute is preferred.
