Job Description

CEA Technologies, Inc. is seeking highly skilled Radar / Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Field Engineering Technicians (Mid- & Senior-level) to provide operation & sustainment support to a system of radar threat emulators being integrated into the Nevada Test & Training Range. CEA Technologies specializes in state-of-the-art element-level Digital Beam Formed (DBF) Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, communications & missile illumination systems for land & maritime environments.

The successful candidates will initially spend 60-90 days training & orientation traveling between various locations within the Nevada Test & Training Range, Ridgecrest CA & Point Mugu CA (Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division), Valparaiso FL (Eglin Air Force Base) & Fairbanks AK (Joint Pacific Alaskan Radar Complex). After completion, this will be complemented potentially in 2023 by extensive on-the-job training at our parent company's facility in Canberra, Australia for approximately 3-6 weeks to become knowledgeable of all aspects required to support these unique CEA systems.

If/when needed, the individual may be deployed to other U.S. ranges to support customer requirements.

Responsibilities / tasks include:

1. Perform complex maintenance on all aspects of the radars covering various digital, RF, power & cooling hardware utilizing commercial manuals, OEM supplied documentation to include drawings / schematics & computer-based diagnostic tools. Maintenance activities will include:

· Planned maintenance (inspections, servicing, calibration)

· Corrective maintenance (troubleshooting, fault detection / isolation, screening, repair)

2. Support the operation of the radars on various DoD test ranges including:

· Setup / teardown & performing serviceability assessment

· Support during remote field deployment & troubleshooting software & hardware anomalies

· Waveform validation

· Limited on-site corrective maintenance

· Diagnosing malfunctions & replacing components

· Detailed inspection, record keeping & administration

· Operate & maintain radar systems & associated power / cooling peripheral equipment

· Assist with training US government / range contractor personnel

3. Willingness & agility to perform duties outside of core responsibilities to support mission operations

4. Assist in performing logistics support tasks to include logistics planning, supply support, packaging/handling/storage/transportation, personnel & training, facilities & data

5. Document your work in a timely & accurate manner according to the processes, standards & confidentiality guidelines

6. Understand & comply with Safety, Security, Export, Information Technology rules & guidelines

7. Work in remote work areas, indoors & outdoors, at elevated heights (~20 feet) & in confined spaces

8. Lift up to 50 pounds

9. Ensure a professional, proactive & customer-oriented approach to the support of the radar systems

10. Communicate & maintain a quality management plan including conformance & continuous improvement initiatives

11. Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

1. Five years minimum (Mid-level) & ten years minimum (Senior-level) demonstrated experience in the operation & / or sustainment of complex military electronic systems – ideally radar & EW systems

2. Supervisory experience (Senior-level)

3. Possess technical & interpersonal skills necessary to perform in a tightly integrated team of engineers, technicians & logisticians as well as independently in the field

4. Associate’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., electronics, RF communications, etc.)

5. Prior field experience

6. Ability to adapt to a changing environment & handle multiple priorities

7. Eager to apply your technical skills to learn new radar system operational concepts & apply that knowledge in the field

8. Willingness & ability to work in varying weather conditions

9. Must be capable of achieving a U.S. DoD SECRET clearance within six months of employment. Active DoD SECRET clearance preferred.

10. Knowledge of & experience maintaining electrical, electronic, environmental, hydraulic & mechanical principles relating to radar & EW systems

11. Must be willing & able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of domestic locations & for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Active DoD SECRET clearance

2. Knowledge of & experience maintaining electrical, environmental, hydraulic & mechanical subsystems relating to radar & EW systems

3. Excellent communicator, both written & oral

4. Project Management experience

5. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
