McCain Food’s facility in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 3 million pounds of french fries a day!
Position Summary:
As the Quality Utility Technician, you will be responsible on focusing on the quality processes of the incoming product! Some of the major job functions include working with the Warehouse team to coordinate incoming inventory, tracking and monitoring inventory and data into our computer systems, and being a player to support the Quality department.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Conducts routine audits of processes, people, and lab equipment.
2.
Completes inspections of incoming materials and verifies they meet FRM and DAMS specifications.
3.
Completes Incoming Material reports and FSMA Allergen records.
4.
Communicates discrepancies or non-conformities of Incoming Materials to appropriate Plant and Corporate Teams.
5.
Supports Customer Complaint Investigation process. Review Quality Grader and Production Operator records and reports for accurate and proper documentation.
6.
Assists in completing other Quality Department position tasks as needed and/or requested by Quality Leadership.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Infinity, Coupa and SAP software programs preferred
- Experience in a Quality Setting preferred
- Occasionally requires physical effort.
Physical Demand:
Constant: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist. Walking up and down a flight of stairs.
