Madden Industrial is seeking an experienced Structural Steel QA/QC Manager for their client in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will hold a AWS or CWI certification and have experience in steel fabrication, welding and coatings.

Quality Manager Pay: $37-$40/hr DOE

Quality Manager Shift: Day with the flexibility for shift changes due to workload

Quality Manager Responsibilities:

  • Review regulations, guidelines and standards
  • Perform inspections and analysis of raw materials to finished product
  • Produce comprehensive documentation of analysis
  • Utilize Excel, Access and CAD
  • Develop best practices, standards and quality assurance procedures

Quality Manager Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in a steel fabrication industry in a leadership role
  • Hold a AWS CWI Certification with a D1.5 Bridge Code endorsement or a Senior CWI Certification or a CWI Certification with the ability to obtain a D1.5
  • Knowledge of AISC quality program requirement for fabrication, intermediate bridge, fracture critical endorsement and paint endorsement
  • Accurately understand AWS codes
  • Read and comprehend work specifications, blueprints and technical drawings
