Role and Responsibilities

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the inspection of all products pre and post pour and testing of concrete to ensure quality products are produced to PCP and customer standards and requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Communicate and coordinate with Supervisors, Crew Leaders, Laborers, Yardmen, Drivers, Batch Plant Operator, etc.

· Test Fresh Concrete for Air, Slump, Unit Weight, etc.

· Break Cylinders to determine concrete strengths.

· Read and interpret drawings, blue-prints, sketches, written directions.

· Use measuring devices to determine dimensions.

· Ensure plant personnel are working safely.

· Perform pre-pour inspections on forms.

· Perform post-pour inspections on forms and products.

· Perform dimensional checks on forms and products.

· Perform detail reinforcing inspections.

· Fill out all relevant paperwork for inspections.

· Ensure plant personnel are performing good housekeeping.

· Inform supervisors when low on supplies.

· Adhere to PCP and NPCA QC Manual for Plant Certification Program

· Other duties assigned by supervisors.

· Stencil finished products.

· Perform aggregate and other raw material testing.

Experience and Education Requirements

Applicant shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the precast or concrete construction industry. Applicant shall have High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Required safety Equipment

All production employees will be provided with safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats and safety vests. They are required to be worn at all times (hearing protection only when necessary). Additionally, production employees are required to provide their own steel toed work boots which must be worn at all times.

Panhandle Concrete Products is a precast concrete production facility located in Scottsbluff, NE. We produce a wide variety of precast concrete products. These products are delivered throughout the Midwest to Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, North Dakota, Kansas, and anywhere requested.

Probationary period

All employees will undergo a 90 day probationary period. Any employee can be released from employment by PCP at any time during this period. At the completion of the 90 day probation, the employee will be reviewed. After the performance review, the employee will be officially hired or let go.
