NOV Pressure Control Group is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our team at 12950 West Little York. The main responsibilities of this role include:

JOB SUMMARY

Coordinate with inspection, testing and quality assurance operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality processes and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all times.
• Provide continual evaluation of the group’s processes and methods, to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
• Provide day to day supervision of employee job execution, to include; training, performance evaluation and employee relations.
• Continually monitor and control inspection operations to insure compliance with applicable quality control documents.
• Assure accurate records such as traceability, process control, functional test, demonstrations, etc., are maintained.
• Assure test function is performed in a manner consistent with applicable requirements and quality procedures.
• Maintain and enforce quality standards.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure areas of responsibility meet company and departmental Safety requirements.
• Ensure the highest level of Quality is always maintained.
• Ensure acceptable levels of productivity of the assigned areas and personnel.
• Maintain acceptable moral levels within assigned groups.
• Comply with all NOV policies and departmental rules.
• Maintain measurement and test equipment as required.
• Maintain an organized work space.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related work environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a Supervisor role
• Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and requirements.
• Must be knowledgeable in API Spec Q1 and ISO 9000.
• Must be knowledgeable in 5S and Lean practices.
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn different software programs as required.
• Knowledge of ABS and DNV requirements for drill through equipment a plus
• Knowledge of API 8C, 6A, and 16A requirements is a plus
• Attention to details is a must
• Prior Inspection experience
