Overview:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Quality Compliance Supervisor drives thorough understanding of quality standards and establishes consistent protocols that ensure manufacturing excellence and promotes a premier place to do business.

  • Sustainability: Identify top 5 quality defects and educate on possible solutions yearly.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer Satisfactions (55%): Diligently work with the Engineering department to ensure all new processes are compliant with industry standards, actively assist with new product testing by providing complete sample requisitions, and ensure that all new processes are ISO documented and compliant when implemented. Identify new machines, deliver capability studies, provide sample requisitions, and offer solutions/enhancement suggestions to production to maximize productivity. Diligently guide the internal auditing process, update documentation, and provide needed feedback to the production/management team on quality defects and solutions to correct the defects. Be the authoritative liaison for the production team by leading a high integrity quality system that guarantees customer satisfaction. Monitor, maintain, and train the organization on the Quality management system.
  • Employee Experience (25%): Proactively work with production to develop a cohesive production based quality team that acts as an extension of the quality department, ensuring that all quality process checks are being followed. Lead monthly informational training meetings for quality defects that are high in the corresponding department to provide thorough guidance on how to correct the defects and gain understanding from the production floor on limitations. Assist the Human Resources team with new-hires to confirm that quality process/gauge training has been provided and the new-hire is aware of Clow’s quality standards.
  • Leadership (20%): Be the driving force of the quality team to ensure production is delivering a quality product that meets customer satisfaction by providing thorough training, guidance, and metrics development. Mentor team members on best business practices and consistently work to develop team members industry knowledge to ensure quality compliance. Cultivate and foster associations in the organization that provide trusting collaborations among departments that promote Clow Valve as a premier place to work and do business.
Qualifications:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • ISO Lead Auditor Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Thorough knowledge of gauge calibration equipment usage
  • Understanding of CMM and/or scanning equipment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites
  • Understanding of basic hand tools and shop equipment
  • Waterworks product knowledge a plus

REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS:
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience in a quality or engineering role with prior supervision or project leadership desired.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • B.S./B.A. in Industrial-Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a quality/process improvement engineer with ISO Lead Auditor Certifications.
