The Purchasing Buyer is responsible for researching product requirements sourcing vendors and working with vendors to obtain highest quality products at competitive prices through bid process.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for negotiating with vendors to find quality product at competitive prices and adequate delivery time, remaining mindful of Company’s commitment to procuring from MBE/WBE when practical.
- Coordinates the purchase order and bid solicitation process.
- Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
- Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
- Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
- Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
- General Buying experience is preferred.
- Experience using Stratton Warren System is preferred.
- Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control laws and regulations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the State Gaming Agency for the position.
Educational Requirements
- A two (2)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience in purchasing related positions.

Working Conditions
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You may occasionally work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
