Description:
This position is responsible for the procurement, order processing functions and supports other company procurement activities. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders and managing suppliers to provide on-time product delivery. Works with Engineering, Project Mangers and other Team aspects to source, select and negotiate pricing with OEM partners and, where needed, tooling suppliers.
Requirements:- Manage supplier relationships relative to “Third Party” accessory. Process orders and ensure timely delivery of products from supplier to customer. Meet regularly with suppliers to maintain the relationship and to ensure an accurate understanding of forecast to ensure on time delivery of accessories.
- Manage the procurement functions related to the development and purchase of “Third Party" Accessories. Interacts with design engineers to understand new product and parts requirements, identifying potential suppliers, and managing the overall quotation process. Identify total cost reduction ideas whenever possible.
- Manage the cost of accessories, coordinating periodic cost reduction activities and annual price negotiations to ensure optimal pricing. Obtain alternate quotations as appropriate.
- Prepare RFQ package and define best solutions in all aspects. Compare quotes for competitiveness.
- Report discrepancies related to cost, delivery or quality to management and recommend solutions
- Provide a central point of contact to the Team for purchasing related matters including tools and equipment, and other items as needed.
- Create Purchase Orders and follow up deliveries (Negotiate shipping schedule with suppliers)
