Public Works – Maintenance Worker I
Hourly Range: $24.73 - $33.84
This is the entry-level classification in the Maintenance Worker series. Incumbents perform maintenance, repair and construction duties of a routine nature under close supervision. The Maintenance Worker I may advance to the next level after gaining experience, obtaining required certifications, and demonstrating a level of proficiency that meets the qualifications of the Maintenance Worker II.
High School diploma/GED and or an equivalent combination of education.
One year performing unskilled or semiskilled maintenance or repair. Must possess a valid CA driver’s license with a driving record acceptable with the City’s insurance carrier. A valid DMV printout must accompany your application.
