As a Project Engineer – Protection* in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.
As a Project Engineer - Protection, a typical day might include the following:
  • Supporting large utilities and industrials companies
  • Perform consulting work on projects (design protection/automation schemes, provide setting calculations, configure SEL devices, perform power systems studies, etc.)
  • Working on projects in the areas of Oil & Gas, Electrical Utility, and/or Renewable Energy
  • On-site commissioning (25% travel)
This job might be for you if you:
  • Have an interest in electrical power systems
  • Have knowledge of creating, testing, and troubleshooting electrical circuits
  • Are familiar with schematic drawings
  • Enjoy a combination of office and field work
Additional areas of interest/experience:
  • Specific experience in power system protective relaying (application, setting, testing)
  • Modeling, simulation and calculations, particularly applied to power systems
  • Computer programming (PLC logic, Python, C, HMI Design)
  • Ethernet Networking (IP addressing, switch/router configuration, testing)

Pay Range Data
New hires generally start between $58,100- $90.900. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
