Description

The successful candidate will work directly with customers (often at the job site) to ensure that A&D projects fall within the agreed-upon scope of work and are budgeted properly. This is a “hands-on” leadership role and requires someone that is comfortable performing a variety of tasks while leading and directing the work of others. Problem solving skills, the ability to “think on your feet”, and a wide degree of creativity and latitude are required to be successful in this role.

  • Hands-on leadership of a team of Field Service Technicians and contingent employees
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all stakeholders
  • Ensure manufacturing, staffing, and logistical resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to the Director of Assembly and Delivery as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
  • Manage and mitigate project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Meet with customers to clarify the specific requirements of each project
  • Track project performance and analyze successful completions to implement best-practices
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 3 year’s experience leading, fast paced, customer facing projects required
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the administrative requirements of managing large projects with the technical hands-on expertise to coordinate activities at the job site
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree
