The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5 years minimum related experience required in any of the following: Purchasing, Casting, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Quality
- Background in procurement and supply chain is a must
- Experience in analytics- pivot tables, PowerBI, etc;
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Power BI and or Tableau experience
- Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, database management
- Cost reduction/procurement experience
- Ability to analyze procurement data
- Able to produce leads
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
