WHAT YOU’LL DO


As an Express Project Service Engineer, you will review opportunities, provided by Account Managers, to confirm parameters are met for Express Project process. You will be responsible for the technical oversight of a project from proposal through installation. You will generate scopes of work, functional system descriptions and equipment lists to enable generation of customer proposals. You will be leveraged by the Coordinator and Field Service resources for project engineering and or ongoing project consultation.


Day-To-Day Responsibilities:


  • Ability to translate customer requirements and generate functional system descriptions and block diagrams if needed.
  • Prepare project Scope of Work.
  • Provide hour estimation for work based on needs analysis and scope of work.
  • Highlight logistical challenges for the Express Project Service Coordinator to consider while pricing the opportunity.
  • Support Project Coordinator in project hand-off to the Field Service resources when needed.
  • Provide on-going engineering support for Field Service resources.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


Must-Haves:


  • Proven business writing skills
  • Understand advanced IP networking
  • Communicate and engage with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
  • Up to date knowledge of current audio, video, control and conferencing technologies.
  • Excellent time management skill and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Advanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues

Nice-To-Haves:


  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of AV experience is preferred
  • A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
  • Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) both hardware and software
  • AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
