EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in a Mental Health or Social services related field
  • Current ACSW, AMFT, or APCC and current registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences required
  • Experience providing community based individualized support and services to families
  • Previous management experience highly preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manager Specific

  • Assists the Program Director in maximizing the effectiveness of services provided to youth and their families
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the program through effective leadership, providing an ongoing assessment of program, reporting to the Director any deficiencies and plans of correction
  • Responsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in their Employee Development Plan
  • Takes active role in recruitment, hiring, development, evaluation, and termination of staff
  • In coordination with Human Resources, develops a plan for the orientation, development, and ongoing training of staff
  • Provides leadership, direct supervision, training, and support to team members including: regular one-to-one consultation meetings, regular assessment of performance, and routine provision of feedback as it pertains to job performance, professional development, and program and agency job specific expectations
  • Reviews and approves all documentation prepared by the program staff
  • Ensures documentation is compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Ensures the provision of services to youth and families with appropriate regard to their physical and emotional well-being
  • Reviews complaints generated by clients, their representatives, and/or other agents and develop plans to address each complaint satisfactorily
  • Participates in on-call rotation

Position Specific

  • Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations and assist Director with CCL administrative duties
  • Meet with resource parents, children and county placement workers as appropriate when behavioral and/or program issues warrant supervisory review and intervention
  • Manage special projects and development systems to support growth and improve quality of program
  • Assist in delivering Resource Parent orientation, pre-approval and advanced training which may include weeknights and weekends
  • Facilitation of pre-placement visits, when needed
  • Assist in the coordination of resource parent recognition and retention functions and events
  • Assist with planning and implementation of recruitment/retention activities which may include weeknights and weekends
  • Stay abreast of resource family placement trends and issues
  • Participate in community trainings, workgroups, planning committees, youth placement plans and task forces related to foster youth
  • Provide case management services during transitional program growth periods
  • Provide back-up services and/or ensure coverage of program staff during vacations and during emergencies
  • Assume designated administrative duties in the absence of the Director

  • Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency’s policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes toward the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed
  • Utilize and maintain calendar with all work-related details in order to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers
  • Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned

Employment At-Will
Employment at the Agency is terminable at-will, which means that employment may be
terminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. In
addition the Agency may also demote, layoff, transfer or reassign employees at any time at its
sole discretion without cause or reason.

Starting Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 DOE
