Division: Training Division – Leadership and Training Services Section

Unit: Coordination and Support Unit

Location: Quantico, Virginia (no public transportation available)

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Salary: GS-9 ($64,957.00 – $84,441.00)

Full Performance Level: GS-11

Number of Positions Available: 3

Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Mission Statement:

The Mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Major Duties:

  • Host tours, manage special events, and coordinate in-services at the FBI Academy; to include scheduling and logistics;
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with customers and colleagues within the Unit and across programs;
  • Independently manage work assignments and track incoming requests;
  • Create and maintain internal and external partnerships to include strong relationships with public affairs; private sector partners; and federal, foreign, state and local law enforcement agencies;
  • Possess a high level of comfort in public speaking with audiences ranging from high school students to executives;
  • Highly skilled in a detailed oriented, fast-paced environment;
  • Cross-train within the Unit in all programs;
  • Be a positive representative of the FBI;
  • Exchange information with others in a way that is clear, professional, insightful, and adds value to complex issues;
  • Look for opportunities to take on new tasks and develop self while contributing to the team mission;
  • Plan, prioritize and organize work and appropriate resources to effectively meet deadlines;
  • Make sound recommendations and decisions, accept responsibility and possess a strong willingness to remain adaptable

Your resume and supporting documentation will be used to determine whether you meet the job qualifications listed in this announcement and will be compared to your responses to the online assessment questionnaire. Your application will then be placed in one of three categories. Most Competitive, Competitive, or least Competitive. Names of candidates in the Most Competitive Category will be sent to the hiring official for employment consideration. Veteran’s preference will be applied.

GS-9: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Transmitting oral and written material to prepare reports for dissemination
  • Gathering and compiling data for the purpose of making recommendations for improvement
  • Applying quantitative research methods (e.g., questionnaires, surveys, interviews) and qualitative research methods (e.g., group discussions, focus groups, behavioral observations) to identify and resolve issues or problems
  • Assisting in evaluating programs to determine current efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assisting in developing new or alternative methods for existing processes or procedures to improve work operations

Education

All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

GS-9: Applicant must have a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
