Production Supervisor

We are searching for an experience leader to fill a Production Supervisor position and join the team of a premier manufacturer located in Southgate, MI.

Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm / Monday – Friday (Overtime & Occasional Saturdays as needed)

Starting Salary: Up to $60,000 Depending on Experience

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, support, and direction to 2 production departments, overseeing 16-20 team members.

• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Setup the weekly production plan for designated department
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment and machinery and scheduling maintenance
• Oversee, coach, and assist with disciplinary action of employees when necessary
• Enforce company safety policies and standards of operation
• Submit reports on performance and progress
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Ensure quality of products, performing visual checks on welds, squareness, etc.

Qualifications:

• 1 – 5 years of supervisor experience in welding, fabrication, machine shop, or related work environment
• Mechanically inclined and/or experience with basic troubleshooting experience is a plus!
• Prior experience with MIG welding, Drill Press, Manual Lathe, Mill, CNC is a plus!
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus!
