Position Summary

The Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction to manufacturing associates including overseeing production, materials, equipment and tooling to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained customer expectations are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensures all safety guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Participates in and supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process through observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, and studying the manufacturing methods.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Builds a teamwork atmosphere within own areas of responsibility and between departments.

  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient using Excel, Email, PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP programs
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
