The Production and Planning Manager is overall responsible for the execution of production to ensure we meet customer commitments centered on quality & delivery. This role is the backbone of the operation and will be supported by EH&S, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and the Technical Lead Role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

. Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are met.

• Ensure production and packaging is within ISO quality standards.
• Ensure proper adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Overall responsible for the execution of the production schedule
• Oversee the production processes.
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
• Mentor and support the supervisors.
• Create a detailed housekeeping and accountability plan.
• Maximize manpower and equipment utilization to achieve the production goals.
• Ensuring efficiency by utilizing LEAN process.
• Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
• Prioritize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
• Hold monthly all hands staff meetings to summarize the successes and challenges of the previous month, create plans, and building teamwork.
• Schedule relevant training for staff and employees

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical discipline and at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing support role or manufacturing management role (or a combination of both)

or

• a Bachelor’s degree in another discipline and at least 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role

or

• At least 10 years’ manufacturing management experience with at least 5 years of manufacturing management experience in metal manufacturing
• Familiarity with lean tools, six sigma, kaizen, and other continuous improvement methods
• Familiarity with annual budgeting process
• Experience supervising and developing direct reports
