Production Controller Job at Terex Corporation
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Terex safety policy and procedures
- Maintain an up-to-date production schedule, ensuring all products are correct specifications
- Create daily production schedules
- Ensure that all relevant staff members receive the production schedule
- Order materials from suppliers
- Record production progress daily
- Work closely with the operations, sales team to forecast future demand
- Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase orders when necessary to keep stock at an optimal level
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve any issues with deliveries or quality of goods
- Manage the workload of production team members, assigning tasks and monitoring output to ensure targets are met
- Train new team members as required in production processes
- Implement improvements to production methods to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Investigate and resolve any problems that arise during the production process
- Keep accurate records of production output
- Prepare reports for senior management on the status of production
- Reference prints for layout design and scheduling
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years in production control or equivalent field
Preferred Qualifications:
- CAD experience to interrupt in prints, drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain management or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven Excel experience, with a focus on scheduling processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
