The Production Scheduler is responsible for administrative work, majority clerical, associated with production control and scheduling.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review incoming orders and assign work to machines in order to maintain a demanding production schedule.
  • Schedule the production process and production departments by material, employee, equipment availability, and deadline dates.
  • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
  • Prepare and distribute production schedules along with production work tickets.
  • Keep inventory levels optimized to maintain production schedules.
  • Independently coordinate solutions to complaints, delays, and other problems in order to maintain production schedules.
  • Record the volume of production, use of raw materials, and other factors into reports.
  • Assist Production Control Manager.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requires:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer and email knowledge with an emphasis on email etiquette, professionalism, and effective use of grammar.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Self-discipline and the ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent attendance and communication is essential.
  • Must be well organized and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.

Due to the nature of the position and the level of noise, safety glasses and ear plugs are required while on plant floor.

Starting payrate: $18-$20/hr depending on experience
