RiverVista is a freestanding psychiatric hospital in the heart of downtown Columbus, Ohio. We serve the adult and geriatric populations in a contemporary environment that promotes healing for long-term recovery. We specialize in providing care to those struggling with emotional challenges, such as anxiety, depression or anger triggered by loss or illness. Combining a blend of group therapy, clinical treatment and therapeutic interventions, our center provides a safe, and healing environment for our patients. Our compassionate and highly trained team works closely with each patient to develop and oversee a comprehensive plan of care to establish both short and long term goals that support both the ongoing behavioral health needs for that patient.

The Role Itself

The Intake Assessor is responsible for assisting in the admission/intake process for all patients. This includes coordinating all intake requests with Clinical Liaisons and physicians, verifying insurances and obtaining authorizations as necessary, working with internal staff to determine preparedness for incoming patient, and communicating admission as necessary. May assist the admission coordinator in maintaining and communicating accurate census records including admissions, discharges, room changes, transfers, etc. Responsible for working closely with all Payors and customers, ensuring accurate knowledge of facility, services provided and outcomes.
