We are looking for someone who is a detail-oriented and dedicated team player. The ideal candidate will have experience with design programs, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, and be comfortable working on a Mac OS.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Prepress Technician to join our team at Liberty Press, LLC. As a member of our Prepress Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all files are applied to established templates and meet the correct layout and die-cut measurements. Although this is not a creative graphic design position, experience with design programs is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize time-sensitive orders, review and resolve problem orders in a timely manner, and exceed customer expectations through accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and knowledge.
  • Convert and prepare files received in various digital formats to different outputs for print production.
  • Verify and modify file image sizes.
  • Execute, design, and layout projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Build proof images to illustrate how the files will print and for the client to proof for errors and potential print problems.
  • Offer graphic design ideas, solutions, and alternatives based on customer input.
  • Colorcorrect and make similar recommendations/adjustments to print files per project requirements.
  • Be able to modify many file types and standardize source material.
  • Creating layouts and proofs for production or client when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with the following software is helpful: Caldera, Onyx, Pitstop, Switch, Numbers/Excel, and Word/Pages.
  • Ability to work on a Mac OS.
  • Detail-oriented, organized with a strong ability to follow tasks through to completion.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks/assignments concurrently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid work ethic with a positive attitude, used to being a contributing team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
