Salary Range: $61,500 to $70,500

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Neurology is currently looking for an experienced and energetic full-time Practice Coordinator. The practice coordinator will maintain quality operations of a multi-disciplinary practice and report to the Practice Manager. You will be providing our medical practice with administrative support, assist with the day-to- day practice operations ensuring the highest level of customer service delivery, practice, support and patient confidentiality. This position does require ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of the department.

Ensure timely and smooth patient flow, monitor physician schedules in EPIC

Create weekly exam room schedule and distribute accordingly

Respond to ad hoc schedule changes from providers

Supervise clinical support staff in the absence of Practice Manager

Answer telephone, route callers, take messages and provide routine information to callers in a professional and efficient manner.

Schedule patient appointments including coordination of procedures.

Verify insurance coverage, pre-certify/authorize patient visits and procedures.

Perform financial transactions and related functions when appropriate.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.

Other Requirements

Manage time appropriately to meet patient and department needs.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, Billing compliance and safety guidelines.

Adjust and acclimate to various work assignments and work environments.
