Roles & Responsibilities:

Under supervision of program director (& chief psychologist):

1. Coordinate activities of trainees (externs, interns & residents), 10% (4 hours/wk)

  • Phone screens (& referrals/dispositions) by externs
  • Clinical intakes (structured interviews) by externs
  • Assessments of treatment adherence, process & outcome by externs
  • Data management & maintenance (questionnaire & video) by externs
  • Psychotherapy case assignments for all externs, interns & residents
  • Supervise interns & residents interested in research training

2. Serve as administrative liaison, 10%: (4 hours/wk)

  • Facilitate referrals with POS
  • Establish psychiatric evaluations (as needed) with POS
  • Facilitate studio space (including equipment requirements)
  • Coordinate case assignments & supervision schedule
  • Maintain special fund & office supplies (as needed)
  • Interface with IT & AV (as needed)

3. Advance research initiatives, 15%: (6hours/wk)

  • Collaborate on design & analysis of studies (ongoing)
  • Maintain research meeting agenda (weekly)
  • Maintain IRB protocol (annual renewal)
  • Present at national & international meetings (2 conferences per year)
  • Submit for publication refereed articles & book chapters (5 per year)

4. Fulfill clinical responsibilities, 60% (24 hours/wk):

  • Carry at least 3 Brief cases at a time (non-special fund): 12 per year
  • Participate & co-lead group Brief supervision (weekly)
  • Support supervision of psychology externs
  • Carry POS caseload (RVUs to be determined)

5. Fulfill teaching responsibilities (seminars on patient relations), 5% (2 hours/wk):

  • Co-lead annual training seminars with director for POS staff
  • Co-lead annual training seminars with director for all trainees
  • Co-lead annual training seminars with director for inpatient staff

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661.00 - $60,788.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
