Position Purpose:

Perform daily food preparation and service to include: Ice Cream, Grab-and-Go items, and pizza preparation. Duties also include the sale of merchandise, and cleanliness of Market area.

Essential Functions:

· Service and preparation of all food, beverage and restocking of merchandise, and items that are sold in Picnix. Proper handling of checks and use of Micros.

· Maintaining the appearance of Picnix by cleaning and straightening of the Market.

· Greet all guests in a friendly/welcoming manner.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

· Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor.

· Abide by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.

· Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management and line employees.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

· Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations with dissatisfied guests.

· Ability to learn and understand food service operations.

· Ability to read and speak English language sufficient to understand menus and special promotions and communicate with guests.

· Ability to learn and understand the Micros point of sale system.

· Ability to sit and/or stand and work continually in confined spaces.

· Understand system of weights and measures.

· Ability to operate kitchen and food service equipment.

· Ability to lift a minimum of five pounds and a maximum of thirty pounds.

· Possess basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all charges and understand portion sizes as related to prices.

· Ability to understand the FIFO method of product rotation.

Qualification Standards:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Experience:

Prior food and beverage experience preferred.

Licenses or certificates:

Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
