POD TECHNICIAN I (DEPLOYED)

This position is for a pod technician in support of a remotely piloted airborne video capturing system in support of military operations overseas. Technical knowledge and maintenance background related to aircraft, avionics, electrical systems, and network support are strongly desired. Should possess working understanding of military aircraft maintenance operations to include documentation, use of technical manuals and blueprints. The schedule is not fixed and would need someone that is flexible with their time.

Required Skills/Experience

• Associates degree and at least 2-4 years of relevant experience
n

• Higher level degree may be a substitute for experience
n
• Related time and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
n
n
• Knowledge of reading blueprints, interpreting drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
n
• Maintenance experience on DoD aircraft, preference in avionics/electrical systems; wire coding systems; avionics test equipment; knowledge of using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function.
n
• Solid understanding of A/C & D/C electricity
n
• Hands on experience with performing all A/C wire terminations
n
• OCONUS Travel
n
• Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
n
• Minimum DoD Secret Security Clearance
n
• Hold (or able to obtain within six months) at least of the following current certifications: Security Plus, Network Plus, Linux Plus.
n
• Be able to lift 30lbs.
n

• Fiber optic termination, cleaning, inspection, repair
