Essential Job Functions .

  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on instrumentation, electronic panel mounted and Fisher Provox DCS, which consists of installation of new equipment, upgrading existing equipment.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance of all electrical equipment including motors, starters, relays, solenoid valves, lighting, power distribution, running conduit, replacing conduit and fittings of all types
  • The capability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems and performing corrective maintenance.
  • Provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Perform PM’s on all plant instrumentation and electrical that will ensure the accuracy and continued performance to prevent major downtime.
  • Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate service or replace electronic devices and systems
  • Repair plant instrumentation, which includes the repair of PH meters, gas analyzers, ORP meters, recorders, controllers, valves, transducers, transmitters (pneumatic and electronic).
  • Installing new instrumentation loops according to instrument specs and testing.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; pulls wiring through conduit; splices wires and connects wiring.
  • Familiar with DCS, PIC's and VFD
  • Maintains the workload and schedule for the facility daily to adjust for changes in work requirements. Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Ability to remove, install and repair control valves of varies sizes 2`` - 6
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and completion of formal apprenticeship program, or a certification program, or a two-year Associate’s degree in related instrumentation and electrical field or has worked as a Journeyman Instrumentation and Electrical Craftsman for 2 years.
  • Computer knowledge .
  • Must be capable of following written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting proper material.
  • Must be capable to follow established methods and procedures.
  • Must be able to have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  • This individual must be able to multi-task efficiently and work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment (No beards) and protective eyewear.
  • Able to perform shift work, required overtime, holdovers and call-outs.
