The Plant Coordinator oversees and manages all production staff during their shift, including Line Supervisors. This role ensures that goods and services are produced efficiently, of the right quality and quantity, and in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

• Monitor and oversee the production process
• Manage production staff hours and overtime and provide ways to improve efficiency
• Manages production and enforces safety and sanitary regulations
• Coordinate with Human Resources regarding discipline and corrective action and assist in process
• Liaison between corporate, Line Supervisors, and production associates
• Work with managers and production staff, to execute companies policies and objectives
• Inspect samples of finished goods, noting defects in order to correct any quality control problems
• Review subordinates performance and assist in review process

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout the production process
• Ensure that the production is produced on time and meets quality standards
• Ensure appropriate resources are available and used correctly
• Set quality standards and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
• Responsible and accountable for training and coaching of all production staff
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff effectively and with respect
• Implement production and quality standards and identify ways to improve both
• Liaison between different all levels of departments
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are implemented and obeyed
• Responsible for motivating production staff
• Shall carry out the Company’s food safety, food security, and food quality policies, programs, and procedures to the best of their abilities
• Shall immediately report food safety, security, and quality problems to management staff so that appropriate action may be taken
• Maintain a safe work environment for all team members and ensure safe work practices are being followed

Qualifications:

• Associates degree, and/or combination education and work experience in a related field
• High school or Equivalent
• Min 1 year experience in food manufacturing environment required
