Plant Maintenance Tech Job at Tekni-Plex
Sunday - Thursday
11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. plus overtime
- Candidate must be able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift as needed
Primary Responsibilities and Expectations
- Analyze equipment malfunctions and determine cause.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting of secondary plant distribution system (switch gear, breaker panels, wiring / busses, junction boxers, switches, outlets, etc.).
- Familiarization with local, state and national electrical codes.
- Perform minor instrument repairs.
- Maintain instrument repair program with outside vendors.
- Familiarization with common preventive maintenance practices as well as the importance of the record keeping accuracy associated with it.
- Process work orders.
- Participates in plant safety / housekeeping audits to ensure a safe work environment.
- Candidates must be able to work a flexible shift when needed. This will require switching shifts to cover other Maintenance Mechanics or support plant projects.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Physical Demands
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years’ maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.
- Electrical experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand blue prints, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Process working knowledge or pneumatic, HVAC and plumbing skills.
- Familiarity with hand/power tools.
- Basic computer skills a plus.
- Ability to obtain a fork lift license.
