Phlebotomist

We’re hiring immediately and we will train you! Vitalant is currently seeking entry-level phlebotomists to help our dedicated team provide blood to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or if you’re new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor, and help you grow.

Our ideal candidate is looking for variable shift options and is excited to travel within local counties to deliver comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences to our volunteer donors.

As a mobile phlebotomist, some days you’ll conduct a blood drive out of one of our recognizable vehicles or at a host venue in the community; other days you’ll be at a fixed site working with many of our regular donors, greeting them by name. Every day you’ll be having fun making a measurable difference in your community.

What to Expect

Pay: $18.27 - $19.06 per hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule: Tuesday — Saturday or Sunday — Thursday

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Greet blood donors and make them comfortable with the procedure, answering questions about the process as needed
• Draw blood (PAID TRAINING PROVIDED)
• Safely pack and store blood for transport
• Deliver blood to proper laboratory personnel
• Drive the company vehicle as needed
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals
• Ensure equipment, vehicles, and facilities are in good working order
• Maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid in-state driver’s license
• At least six months work experience
• Basic PC/Windows proficiency
