Job Description

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking a Pharmacy Tech to work in our Lowndes Clinic in, Valdosta Georgia. The Pharmacy Tech is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures. Perform duties assigned by a licensed pharmacist. Areas of work are checked routinely for maintenance of quality control. Work is conducted in accordance with generally accepted standards of practice following departmental procedures and policies as outlined in the department operations manual.

This position requires:
  • High school diploma; required.
  • CPhT Certification preferred
  • CPht Certification must be acquired within 12 months of employment
  • 3-6 months pharmacy experience; preferred

Working Conditions:
Work Environment: Employees in this position work in a temperature-controlled environment. Incumbents may be required to work extended periods of time at computer terminals.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus. The position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as some lifting. This can be a stress filled environment which requires fast, accurate work with close attention to detail and the ability to deal with frequent interruptions.
