Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Clinical Pharmacists are responsible for providing general clinical and operational pharmacy services. This includes supervision of technical staff. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. What You Will Do In This Role


  • Organization-proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources, communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Makes decisions based upon job knowledge and experience.
  • Considers all impacted areas in decision process. Seeks advice where applicable, judgment sensible and reliable.
  • Establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting exceeding expectations.
  • Able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Meditech and purchasing vendor applications and others as required.
  • Articulates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.
  • Knowledge of medication indication/contraindications, common side effects, and usual doses a must. Should also have knowledge of "Safe Medication Practices" is required.
  • Knowledge should also include utilization related items needed. Knowledge should also include utilization of information sources.
  • A general knowledge of the requirements as dictated by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is helpful.
  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations is required knowledge base.
  • Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform the assigned duties.

Medical City Weatherford is a 100+ bed acute-care hospital. We serve Parker County and surrounding communities. Our medical staff represents 30+ medical specialties.
